The Percy Hedley Foundation

The North East's Largest Disability Charity - Formed in 1953

About us

At Percy Hedley we provide a wide range of high quality, specialist and personalised care and education support to disabled people and their families.

Across 2 schools, 2 college campuses, an adult learning programme and 4 adult residential homes we support 650 members and their families every week, with over 1100 amazing staff.

Having intitially formed as a school for 12 children with cerebral palsy in 1953, the Foundation now also supports those with communication impairments, sensory impairments and complex learning, social care and therapeutic needs.

Our staff and members have continued to thrive, despite the difficulties of the covid pandemic, and your support enables us to focus on over delivering for our members and ensuring the Foundation is thriving for the next 70 years.

We appreciate all our wonderful supporters who continue to come up with creative and engaging ways to support us and our fundraising team is on hand to support your challenge no matter how crazy the idea!
